So i happened over to the Bush/Cheney reelection site, and noticed a hell of a lot of photos of Kerry, and well..none of Bush or Cheney. Anyhow, head over there and check out their new web video. I had to watch it twice to figure out what the hell they were trying to say, because all i got out of it was a bunch of good points made by anti-bush people. Then in the end they make a small, weak point that Democrats are pessimists, because they put down Bush, and you should vote for W. because he’s “optimistic”. If you ask me, this video seems be working against the man. “Who are the ad wizards that came up with this one!?”

that is scary… these guys are dumber than dirt… manipulative bastards.

who are they manipulating? i mean, people watching that video don’t know they’re supposed to be looking for “pessimism” until the end, so you watch the whole thing seeing and hearing people tell bush he sucks and comparing him to hitler, then at the end it says something in writing about pessimism being bad. Just hilarious.

I had the same thought! Apart from the ad bits containing the Hitler stuff — just kinda superfluous crap, really — it felt more like a really fun anti-Bush ad.
And if the ad’s supposed to be about how vitriolic the Democrats are, and how they go around comparing Bush to Hitler apparently twenty times a day, how come it’s painfully obvious that not one of the Democrats featured in the spot ever did actually compare Bush to Hitler?

Because clearly, the ad wizards in charge of that ad, are geniouses.
(let the sarcasm drip off your screen at this point)

Also…
The bit of the Gore speech they used… “We will not allow the good name of America to be dragged through the mud of Abu Ghraib” or whatever the quote was…
… is it just me, or is the unintentional inferance there that the Bush administration is all for dragging America through the mud of Abu Ghraib?
(I mean, they did it, and then they criticized Gore for speaking against it, so they must be for it, right?)

Sounds about right to me.
