Someone better call Godzirra to battle this menace!
Michael Jackson is in discussions about creating a 50-foot robotic replica of himself to roam the Las Vegas desert, according to reports.
The pop legend is currently understood to be living in the city, as he considers making a comeback after 2004’s turbulent child sex case.
It has now been claimed that his plans include an elaborate show in Vegas, which would feature the giant Jacko striding around the desert, firing laser beams.
If built, the metal monster would apparently be visible to aircraft as they come in to land in the casino capital.

Scientists have created the world’s first human-sheep chimera - which has the body of a sheep and half-human organs.
The sheep have 15 per cent human cells and 85 per cent animal cells - and their evolution brings the prospect of animal organs being transplanted into humans one step closer.
Professor Esmail Zanjani, of the University of Nevada, has spent seven years and £5million perfecting the technique, which involves injecting adult human cells into a sheep’s foetus.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS—Former stripper turned Playboy Playmate turned reality-TV star Anna Nicole Smith has overcome her longtime struggle with obesity, at last reaching her target weight of 125 pounds, sources said Monday.
“Anna’s been through a lot,” said Florida Circuit Court Judge Larry Seidlin, who became visibly emotional as he spoke to reporters. “But I think it’s fair to say that she hasn’t been this happy in years.”

Forensics reports reveal that Smith’s miraculous weight loss began on Feb. 8, when she was discovered unconscious in her Hollywood, FL hotel room. She then proceeded to shed the baby weight she had gained during her recent pregnancy, even as her numerous legal woes and the controversy surrounding her 6-month-old daughter Dannielynn’s paternity thrust Smith into the public eye more than ever before.
“The last several weeks have been particularly rough for Anna, but thankfully she’s turned a corner,” said attorney Richard Millstein, the legally appointed guardian for Dannielynn. “At least some good has come out of this sad and sordid tale.”

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (CNN) — An accidental overdose of prescription drugs killed former reality TV star and Playboy playmate Anna Nicole Smith, Seminole tribal police Chief Charlie Tiger said Monday.
Tiger said the case was now closed.
“We are convinced, based on extensive review of the evidence, that this case is an accidental overdose with no other criminal element present,” Tiger said at a news conference announcing Smith’s autopsy results.

NEW YORK — Calvert DeForest, known to millions of “Late Night With David Letterman” fans as the raspy-voiced Larry “Bud” Melman, died Monday at age 85 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Long Island, N.Y., after a long illness.
DeForest appeared on the first “Late Show With David Letterman” on NBC in 1982 and appeared dozens of times on the New York-based show through its run on NBC until 1993. He often did goofy things on the show, including giving hot towels to commuters at the Port Authority bus terminal.
When Letterman left NBC in 1993, DeForest moved with him. The only thing that changed was the character’s name, which became “Calvert DeForest” with the CBS show because NBC claimed ownership over the Melman name. His last appearance was in 2002 on his 81st birthday.

Corbis and Microsoft chief Bill Gates. The two discussed the likely impact of IPTV on advertising and the distribution of TV content by the major networks’ local affiliate stations. Garfield also asked Mr. Gates about the Apple ads, in which actor John Hodgman plays a character modeled on Mr. Gates. Mr. Gates was not amused. Listen to the audio to the left or read the transcript below.
GARFIELD: I want to ask you one more thing: Those Mac ads — how do you feel about the John Hodgman character?
GATES: I can’t comment on someone else’s ad.
GARFIELD: OK … but he’s you.
GATES: Yeah, I’m not gonna comment on someone else’s ad.
GARFIELD: OK, well, Bill Gates, thank you so much for joining us.
(Silence)
GARFIELD: Can I just have a clean goodbye?
(Silence)
GARFIELD: OK, can you just say goodbye? Thank you or goodbye or something like that?
GATES: Goodbye.

Fallout Entertainment has acquired the rights to remake the 1975 blaxploitation action comedy “Dolemite.”
Company principal Bill Fishman is slated to direct from a screenplay being written by Jeff Hause and David Hines. The film will be produced by Warren Zide.
Dolemite — inspired by a character created by comedian-writer-producer Rudy Ray Moore during the 1970s — is an ex-con who, in attempting to regain control of his nightclub, is joined by a squad of “kung-fu fighting girls” and other allies as he goes up against all who stand in his way. Moore will executive produce and might have a role in the remake.
“I think there is a certain sincerity in the original that is kind of undeniable,” Fishman said. “(Moore’s) a cult figure and a luminary. … He’s an original.
“(We are) giving enough respect to the original and building on it,” the helmer added. “We are going to use some of the original one liners. (Moore’s) eminently quotable.”

The production company is in the initial stages of casting and has had discussions with several stars of comedy and hip-hop, including Snoop Dogg.
