The End is Near.

Posted on 24 April 2006 by Mat

“We were ecstatic when we saw the early numbers on Saved By the Bell on Adult Swim,” said Matt Laster, the VP of Turner Entertainment’s newly created 80’s Reclamation Department. “We knew this had the potential to be big, but we never thought it would be this big. The fans have really shown their support and come out in droves on the adultswim.com website.”

According to Laster, the new series is still in development but he did say that almost all of the original cast would be returning, minus “Showgirls” star Elizabeth Berkley. The series will follow the events after Saved By the Bell: The New Class and find Screech as the new principal of Bayside and a retired Mr. Belding as the proprietor of the Max, the hangout that the Saved By the Bell gang frequented. Screech is overwhelmed by the new group of students and puts out a call for help, and soon, all of the old regulars are back at Bayside. Laster would not elaborate on the status of Zack and Kelly’s relationship, though the couple were last seen walking down the aisle.

Behold: Baby Cruise!

Posted on 18 April 2006 by Mat

LOS ANGELES - The Tomkitten has arrived.
Tom Cruise and
Katie Holmes, the high-profile pair dubbed “TomKat” by the media, had a baby girl Tuesday, said Cruise spokesman Arnold Robinson. The baby, named Suri, weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches long, he said.

“Both mother and daughter are doing well,” Robinson said in a prepared statement.

The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose,” the statement said.

The baby was born in Los Angeles but the exact location was not disclosed.

It’s the first child for Holmes, 27. Cruise, 43, has an adopted daughter and son from his marriage to
Nicole Kidman.

Details surrounding the birth, which was planned under the tenets of the Church of Scientology as a silent procedure, weren’t disclosed.

Happy Easter, Celebrate the Death of Isukiri

Posted on 14 April 2006 by Mat

Apparently there is a well known Japanese legend that explains Jesus went to Japan to study during the “Missing Years.” He later returned after his brother, Isukiri, was crusified in his place, where he had a family and is buried to this day. This is pretty interesting and not as crazy as you might initially think. It would explain why the ‘body’ was missing from the tomb and that he appeared to close friends three days later. I also find that this article, written in 1971, talks about how Judas was in on the ol’ switer-oo. Especially as all this Judas Gospel stuff has just surfaced. Take a read, interesting stuff.

Kate Moss Statue

Posted on 12 April 2006 by Mat

Ok, whats the deal with artists making monuments to trashy celebrities? First the Britney Spears Giving Birth thing, now this:

Marc Quinn has made a sculpture of Kate Moss in a yoga position. Quinn says of Moss, “She is a contemporary version of the Sphinx. A mystery.” Others might suggest that we know quite enough about the sordid little minx. Quinn usually sculpts with marble, but his Kate was cast in bronze and then painted white, creating a flat, blank surface.

Quinn is also famous for putting a sculpture of Alison Lapper, a woman lacking arms and fully developed legs - on to a plinth in Trafalgar Sqare, and for casting his head in his own blood and freezing it.
This Kate is showing at White Cube in London, but New Yorkers get to see the whole series of five at the Mary Boone Gallery from April 2007.

WTF?? Kate Moss …YOGA? When I think of Kate Moss, I don’t think yoga. Why not do her on all fours, licking coke off someone’s johnson? I guess I just don’t know the REAL Kate.

Your Weekly “Wonder Woman” Report

Posted on 12 April 2006 by Mat

This is starting to become a regular update.

“Wonder Woman” rumours are about as regular as trips to the petrol station these days, so take this one with a grain of the salty stuff (perhaps not that salty stuff). Still, I’m mentioning this if only because I think they may have found someone that would look as cosy as heck in the Invisible Jet.

This morning, I received a press release from the PR firm for “Days of Our Lives” actress Nadia Bjorlin, confirming her involvement in the new auto-thriller “Red Line” co-starring Eddie Griffin and Nathan Phillips.

‘Apparently’ she is up for “Wonder Woman”.
