Today I got a new bank account at a new bank, and while I was signing up, one of the questions asked of me was “Do you anticipate any foreign transfers with this account?” I said “no”, and then I asked “do people who answer ‘yes’, get flagged or something?” and the woman nodded a yes, and then said “not really really flagged, but there’s a lot more questions involved if you’d said ‘yes’.”
Thought that was kind of interesting, and chances are, those people are flagged and watched.

Well I just got back from seeing “Logan’s Run”, I mean, “A Brave New World” , I mean, “Gattaca”, I mean “Blade Runner”, I mean “The Matrix”… no no…I mean “The Island”..yes thats what it was called. If you’ve seen any or all of those other movies, you much know the plot of “The Island.” Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this flick.

“The Island” was chock full of nonstop action, and not the boring kind either, like in Jackie Chan movies. With all the running I feel like i’m ready for a nap. And how can you go wrong when you’re watching Scarlett Johannson for two hours? (for the ladies - Ewan McGregor) I loved the visuals (other than Scarlett) and the overall look of the film. Sure, its that “future, everyone wears white” thing, but I dig that.
If you’re looking for a fun summer action flick, I’d say check “The Island.”

Two quotes about Casa Bonita, if you don’t know what it is:
Stan: [stands up]What’s Casa Bonita?
Cartman: Dude, haven’t you ever been there?! It’s a big Mexican restaurant where they have, like, cliff jumpers and Black Bart’s Cave and [holds out his hand wide] all kinds of stuff!
Kyle: It’s like the Disneyland of Mexican restaurants.
Cartman: This Saturday! Awesone! [begins to sing to "La Cucaracha"] Casa Bonita! Casa Bonita! Food and fun in a festive atmosphere. [begins to smap his fingers] Casa Bonita!
(Casa Bonita) ” is what the world would be doing every Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war. This was the Sixth Reich.” - Hunter Thompson Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
How can I explain this place? Its a mexican resaurant (i use that term loosely) with insane children running around and drunk parents looking for them. High dive acts every ten minutes, while you eat. Five year olds wildly swinging clubs at piñatas, and other children’s heads. Puppet shows, and mariachi bands who no doubt, go home and drink themselves to sleep because this is as good as it gets for the rest of their lives. All you can eat “Mexican” food, which tastes like a mixure of TV dinner and doggy chow. One plate is about all you can eat. Cotton candy, caricaturists, face painters, and wierd little tunnels and sort of themed eating rooms.
I’ll never go back.
