Holy Catshit Batman!

Ok people, what did we learn from “Barb Wire”? We learned that putting a hot chick in a skimpy leather outfit, and having her jump around for two hours does not make for a “good” movie.

Yeah, I finally saw “Catwoman”, and I KNEW it was gonna suck. But I was not prepared for the leval of suckage that it was. We weren’t even past the credits and I was asking myself “Is it over yet?” This movie couldn’t have been more predictable, more boring, more poorly acted, or had worse CG effects.
I can never understand how movies like this get made. I mean, there must be at least six peoples names attached to “Executive Producer” and half that for “Producer”, did every one of these people think “YES! This is great! We’ll do a catwoman movie, w/ no Batman, no Gotham City, we’ll change the character’s name from Selena Kyle to Patience Phillips, and it won’t follow the book at all! THIS IS BRILLIANT!” How does this get cinematic diarrhea get made? I mean really, people, you might as well just go take your $8, go to the zoo and watch monkeys throw shit on the window. It might even be more entertaining than this movie. (Because you know..monkeys are funny)

I used to think “Congo” and “Mortal Kombat” were the worst of the worst, but I think we might have a new one, folks. If its not at the bottom, “Catwoman” definitely gets put in the same barrel as these cinematic wastes of time and money.

No, J. Lo hasn’t dumped new hubby Marc Anthony to return to almost-hubby Ben Affleck just yet. It seems Ben may have moved on to another famous Jennifer. This time it’s ‘Daredevil,’ co-star Jennifer Garner

Word from ‘Star’ magazine says that Ben took time out of his busy schedule to visit the ‘Alias’ star and that the two were seen canoodling in downtown Vancouver where Garner is filming ‘Elektra.’

An inside source says, “(They were spotted in) downtown Vancouver kissing and holding hands. They were also seen kissing and hanging out in between set-ups at her trailer.”

Garner has reportedly split from her ‘Alias,’ co-star Michael Vartan, and Affleck’s reported new squeeze Enza Sambataro has been been M.I.A. lately, leaving the door open for the alleged romance.

Reps for both sides say there’s no truth to the story.”

“Heinz Kerry repeatedly insisted that McNickle had mischaracterized her remarks in his questions. After walking away momentarily, she returned to the writer and said, ‘You’re from the Tribune-Review — understandable. You said something I didn’t say. Now shove it.’

In keeping with its attitude toward most Democrats, the Tribune-Review’s editorial page have been generally critical of the Kerry campaign. The newpaper’s publisher, Richard Mellon Scaife, is a longtime contributor to conservative causes, among them, the Capitol Research Center, a right-wing think tank that has been critical of some of the philanthropic activity of the Heinz family charities guided by Heinz Kerry.”

When I heard the story about Teresa Heinz Kerry telling a Pittsburgh newspaper reporter to “shove it”, I had a feeling it might be someone from the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - a paper I used to work for several years ago. If you don’t know about the Trib’s politics, I would recommend checking out the book Blinded By the Right. It’s pretty right on, but I can speak from personal experience. The publisher of the Tribune-Review, Richard Melon Scaife, is what some might refer to as a maniacal conservative extremist. Others, such as Hillary Clinton, might call him a “vast right wing conspiracy”. Both are acurrate descriptions. I’ve mentioned a few of Scaife’s shinanigans before on this site:

“I know first hand that there is no such thing as unbiased news. Its all skewed by the people who are in charge of the organization. I worked for a newspaper in Pittsburgh, that was owned by an extremely conservative madman. (this guy contributed loads of cash to Paula Jones’ lawyers during the whole Clinton sex scandel, and even tried to buy the Washington Post the night before they broke the Watergate Scandal, because he was such a huge Nixon supporter) On the eve of the 2000 presidential election, he insisted that if Al Gore won, Gore’s photo was not to appear above the fold on the front page the following day. Anyone who thinks the news industry is pure had better open their eyes and look a litte harder”

So it didn’t surprise me one bit to learn that the reporter who was told to shove it, was in fact, Colin McNickle - the sleezebag political editor at the Trib.

Let me tell you a fun little tale of Colin McNickle, the grimey, greasy haired, round glasses wearing little man with a constant 5 o’clock shadow.

Colin, a married man, was in fact “shoving it.” Shoving it in the administrative assistant who also worked at the Trib. This went on for a little over a year, until he decided to end it, at which point, the assistant flipped out on him, and beat his sorry ass to a pulp in his own office. She, of course, was canned immediately and escorted out of the building. I spoke with her later about what happened, and she filled me in, about how she enjoyed knocking his goofy glasses off his head and then proceeded to call his wife and tell her about his ‘extra curricular’ activites.

I thought only liberals cheated on their wives. Aren’t Republicans supposed to be Holier than Thou? hmm…

In my opinion, I’m glad he got a smack down from a girl. He deserved it. He was always a shady little bastard, doing shady little business for the Man. However, I’m sad to see he still has a job there, and I’m sad that now they have some kind of fodder to shoot off nasty remarks about Kerry. Undoubtedly, McNickle will be shitting out a column, picking apart the moral values of someone who would be so crass, as to tell a reporter to “shove it”. I’ll bet McNickle didn’t have a problem when Bush and Cheney called reporters “big time assholes” , or when Cheney told another congressman to “fuck off”, and he sure didn’t have any problems cheating on his wife. The mind of the Right, never ceases to amaze me.

If you’re president doesn’t make you wanna stand up and shout “I’M AN AMERICAN AND I’M PROUD OF IT!”, you should take a look at the this. (Or if you’re into Gay Metal)
